What is the downsides to investing via Kristal AI?

I have read many comparisons and reviews about the various robo-advisors, and so far, Kristal AI seems the most attractive due to the zero fees below $50,000, without any obvious downsides.

However, I also know that when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is, so I am wondering, what am I trading off when I choose Kristal AI over another robo-advisor, say DBS digiportfolio.

Other than the UI/quality of life differences, is there a tangible difference between their returns?

Hey Dominic,

Thanks for your question. I can totally understand your concerns that the kristal.AI offer sounds “too good to be true” but rest assured – there is really no catch.

There are just two conditions you need to be aware of - It's free only up to 50,000 USD size after which the fees kick in. Secondly only 25 trades are free (excluding automated rebalances) and beyond that you are upgraded to paid tier. The idea is to have more investing-like behaviour and not frequent trading which in our experience we strongly believe investing-like behaviour is better in longer term. We make money from more HNW client who bank millions with us.

If you have any other questions, you can always write an email to [email protected] or write a Whatsapp message to +65 8511 9486!

There is no longterm record

as far as i feel it is a safe way

however your main risk could then be

that you could manage your money

all by yourself with lower fees and

therefore better results.

f.ex. by self-investing into cheap & safe

passive indexing ETFs.

some ideas here (no guarantee however, but very successful in the past

at least)
