All the tips shared by others is great! I'm gonna share a personal secret recipe for interview that works for me everytime!

This is because, not all the interview i go for , the job were meant for me. If is mine, I will be hired. If is not mine, something else better will come along!

Don't be hard and fast about it! since life goes on and doesn't stop for this job alone!

Somtimes, losing the one that I wish / hope / die die wanted to work on job is really sad and depressing. Most of the time I may not think it's good in the first place, but as long you always choose wisely for job offers, some job may not seems good in the first place, but as you work on, you'll realize that the job has something to offer, something to learn and something you can contribute! After all, you're hired right! :) So it means you're valuable and you can contribut to the company! :)

So, give if your best, keep a positive attutite while going for the inteview!

Remember: If is yours , it will be yours! If is not yours, something better will come along! :)

Happy Adulting ! :)

Before the interview

  1. Find out who your interviewers are. Research them thoroughly (use Google!) so you know what questions to expect
  2. Dress appropriately. Generally wear a suit for an interview for an office job. But be Conservative. No flashy weird stuff!
  3. Arrive at the office at least 15 minutes early. Camp downstairs if you are earlier.

At the interview

The objective is not just for the company to find out if you're a good fit for them but to also find out if they are a good fit for you. So,

  1. Treat it like a dialogue, not an interview. The questions go both ways. This helps to show the interviewers that you are genuinely interested in the company and helps convey confidence
  2. Prepare some questions! They may ask if you have any questions and facilities point 1.
  3. Think of three things you want to know about the job/company and three things that you want the company to know about you. Try to ask/share this during the interview. Again this helps to facilitate point 1.

After the interview

  1. Send a personal email to each interviewer thanking them for their time and for one thing that they said or shared I.e. Thanks for sharing about your experience with the firm and how that has shaped your career. But be succinct and sincere.

I learned the above from my interviews, both the successes and failures, and from researching through various channels. May they in turn help you (:

make sure you do your research! and try to connect with the interviewer! it helps!
