To me 1 hack and 1 caution.
1 hack: Always wait for sign-up bonus. Don't walk in or sign up online without getting something in return. Let the banks spend money to acquire you.
1 caution: Always pay your balance in FULL every month. Don't pay the minimum. Pay ALL. The interest rate is no joke. If you can't pay in full every month, get a debit card instead.

Utilise the credit card. Cashbacks on top of cashbacks. Try to have a credit limit to prevent a situation whereby you'll be heavily in debt. Try to limit yourself and not think that credit card is an increase of spending. You still need to repay it back or the high interest rates will eventually kill you.
