Medishield Life is basic health insurance that all Singaporean and PR possess. The premium is paid through your CPF MediSave account. It provides basic coverage based on the subsidised hospitalization fee.

Many often choose to add on to this coverage through the Integrated Shield Plan. The Integrated ShieldPlan enhances the protection by providing coverage in areas such as hospitalisaiton benefits, emergency overseas medical treatment etc. Thye can be paid using your Medisave and extend coverage for Private Hospital and A/B1 wards. Some examples are Great SupremeHealth, AIA HealthShield Gold Max, and PruShield.
