Recently came across Barista FIRE - basically having enough invested that you don’t need a full-time high-paying job anymore, but still work part-time to cover some expenses.
Sounds great, but in Singapore with housing, healthcare and family commitments, is it actually realistic?

Barista FIRE can definitely work, but you’ll probably need your housing mostly settled, solid insurance and enough buffer for family expenses before a lower-paying or part-time job feels truly comfortable.

I’d see Barista FIRE as “work because I want to, not because I desperately need to” rather than completely escaping the grind.
