What happen to the HDB when a person passed away without a will ?

The HDB will follow the Intestate Succession Act (or Faraid for Muslims). The family will need to get a Grant of Letters of Administration, then HDB will transfer or sell the flat to whoever is legally entitled. Basically, the flat won’t just disappear lah, just need to settle the paperwork first
