What do you think are good business to do in Singapore as a startup? I feel like there are some businesses that make it more versatile than others and can survive better. Do you agree?

For example an insurance business like yours will never run out of relevance since everyone needs insurance.

Hi Anon,

When building a company, ask yourself: What is its purpose? Find the answer to that ‘why’ question. What is the purpose of the service or the product that you are offering? What are the benefits that you can bring to your customer?

With a solid understanding of the Why, you can pull through any and all of the tough times that will definitely come your way, because you know that you’re working towards a specific purpose that you’re trying to achieve.

When choosing an industry to focus in, it is important to look at the general market trend, the problem one you are solving and whether the new solution moves the needle?
