Dividend investing is a natural progression to my investing journey.

At some point, I figured out that dividend investing gave me a consistent way to generate both capital growth and income safely. Especially when I'm spending more time with my family and I like the idea of steady cash flow coming in.

A common myth is dividend investing sucks in generating high returns because it does not give capital gains. Dividend investing, in fact, looks at both capital gains + dividends.

Also, some of the best performing stocks over the past 40 years happen to be blue chip companies paying growing dividends. You can simply google the performances.
