Hi, I'm from Great Eastern and let me share more with you regarding Care Plus Programme.
Care Plus is a free 12 month disability income plan for Singaporeans or PR aged between 30 to 40 years old. It works like Eldershield which was previously only for people aged 40.
If you are unable to perform 3 of the following 6 activities of daily living, you will receive a payout of $600 for 60 months.
(a) Washing β the ability to wash in the bath or shower (including getting into and out of the bath or shower) or do a sponge / bed bath.
(b) Dressing β the ability to put on, take off, secure and unfasten all garments and, as appropriate, any braces, artificial limbs or other surgical or medical appliances.
(c) Feeding β the ability to feed oneself food after it has been prepared and made available.
(d) Toileting β the ability to use the toilet or manage bowel and bladder function through the use of protective undergarments such as diapers, or surgical appliances if appropriate.
(e) Mobility β the ability to move indoors from room to room on level surfaces.
(f) Transferring β the ability to move from a bed to an upright chair or wheelchair, and vice versa.
My personal thoughts would be to just apply for it since it is free and it will automatically terminate after 12 months.βββ
