Smart card is not very smart, IMO. Its high advertised cashback/miles rate is not very useful since its main earning categories are SimplyGo, subscription services (Netflix/Disney), and fast food/coffee. For the bulk of your daily spending ie groceries, dining, shopping, you wont get to earn high cashback/miles.
You don't need 10k savings to use Singlife, it's just the capped amount that earns high interest. But there are better options available now like CIMB fastsaver or OCBC 360.
You should only use a credit card if you have financial discipline and don't have spending tendencies. If you're scared, you can set a low credit limit on your card. Otherwise, just avoid a credit card. No amount of rewards is worth the credit card debt if you let your spending go out of control.
