What are the pros and cons of reinvesting dividends as compared to cashing out dividends?

Hi anon, if you can get higher returns elsewhere than the company can re-invest into itself, it's better to receive dividends in cash.

However, if the company can compound at a higher rate than you can in the stock market, it's better to reinvest the dividends with the company.

Pro of reinvesting dividend. U compound faster.
Pro of cashing out dividend. U can go shopping

Cash out when the dividend amount is impactful, life-changing. A few hundred / thousands not going to change my life,still have to work. So re-invest.
