ETF is very diverisifed so the risk is spread out across many companies. ETF is good if you don't know how to pick stocks or don't know which to choose. Or maybe you don't have enough money to buy all the companies you want to buy. But be prepared for more volaitlity, individual stocks means ur portfolio value will move more either up or down.

Diversified. Not afraid of stocks get delisted.
Self cleansing, the fund manager will get rid of CMI companies
fool-proof

Stock pick

base on individual way of anaylsis
higher risk , stock may delist, company may go bust
higher gain.
