What are the possible resources and how should one look at investment, like the risk between the stock market in Singapore and US?

I invest in both SG & US.

Most people like to invest in US because it is "explosive". Singapore on the hand, like a turtle, slow & boring. But i invest in SG stock for mainly dividend. Because slow market is good for DCA.

1 thing to remember, u must sell ur US stock inorder to get $$$. For SG stocks if my dividend is $1k this year, while i continue to DCA, my dividend will increase. And the dividend will keep on increasing. The $$$ will forever yours. You will be asset + cash rich. While ur US friend will be asset rich

1. don't be greedy.

2. investment is not a tool to get rich, but to retire comfortably. work towards the end goal in mind. how much do you need to live by after retirement.

3. with the end goal in mind, then look for investments with suitable risk-reward ratio.

notice he says "secondary source of income". because he is practical. unlike other "wealth guru" who will tell you to quit your job, can turn $1000 into $1mil, can buy property with no money down, all sorts of BS.
