What are the main factors that I should consider before choosing a Hotel Loyalty Rewards Program?

I'm thinking of pursuing a Hotel Loyalty Rewards Program as the possibility of getting free upgrades and other perks sound extremely enticing. What would be some factors that I should take into consideration before picking a particular program, and should I pursue more than one or just focus on a singular program? Any tips and tricks at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much! :-)

Secondly, if you wish to spend up for such loyalty program, you must also ask if youa re ready to use the ecosystem of credit cards to make use of the signs up to supercharge your reward points in this loyalty program. This means the need to look at your expenses and see how they can fit according to the credit cards promotions

If your employer is a big enough MNC, you can search your internal travel site to see if there are free status upgrades for employees. That is one way to level up quickly.

Otherwise the other methods will have to come into play to fulfill the status criteria. Also some tier perks are different across the different programs.
