Credit Cards

What are the best credit card out in the market to earn miles or cashback for a 30k annual income.

Currently, I'm in the midst of doing a house reno and holding a wedding banquet. What miles card should I get to pay for all these expenses?

Thanks in advance

For house reno - have to see if renovation contractor/ID accepts credit card payments though...

  • But the hack I have tried is signing up a few new credit cards (timing them when you are prepared to spend) (for immediate cashback or gifts) - need to manage, ensure timely payment and cancellation of card before the year ends... that's the best hack I could think of / tried-tested-worked. Sell the gifts if you don't need them. I think the managing part (requires time) is worthwhile given the cashbacks are around $300 per card.
  • For appliances/furnitures - look for bargains online, group buys (online / at stores) or double digit days, look for referrals on Google reviews etc.
  • Wedding banquet - paying by deposit.

I don't think anyone will know which is the best credit cards unless one has all the bank cards and have reaped all the benefits... personally, if there are any cards offering 6-8% cashback (do check category of spent) then it's good (e.g. OCBC Frank - online 6%, UOB One if can spend $2K per mth for 3 mths).
