Type 2 diabetics can get some form of cover via some insurers plans.
Type 1 diabetics will likely face premium loading or exclusions, depending on the type of coverage. From what I know, Manulife Select Criticalcare is the only CI plan that type 1 diabetics can buy, abeit with some restrictions. You must be between age 40-70 to buy it, and your coverage is restricted to only the 6 most common late stage CI.
PA and GIO plans will not be an issue.
