Was wondering how much do adults spend for recreational activities or hobbies on a monthly basis. These include gym, music classes, art classes, martial arts, jamming classes, gaming subscriptions etc.?

Alternatively, I'm also curious to know how much do parents set aside for their kid enrichment class on a monthly basis.

Personally am spending ~400 per month on music classes and this takes up <20% of my salary. Wondering if I should continue with this spending..

I've always believed that adult life is when, in addition to studying or working, you have a huge number of hobbies, activities, and so on. My only desire and activity now is to explore myself and my life so that I can improve it. I'm glad that psychic readings are easy to find now. I found several reliable psychic platforms on the website https://www.outlookindia.com/outlook-spotlight/... , including nebula, which is where I settled on.

I find having a hobby an important thing to have in life. Ideally it wouldn't be too expensive a hobby, and yes, music classes aren't the cheapest but I think if it's something you like, just try to be prepared for classes (I took piano lessons for many years), and make the most out of those classes. Alternatively, if you find it busy, it might also be good to learn from a private teacher who would allow some scheduling flexibility, eg 2 classes per month instead of 4. The space between the classes would mean extra time to practice (so class time can be spent on learning new music or refining musicality, rather than practicing). And maybe a few years later you won't need regular lessons. But either way, music is a hobby which can keep you occupied for many years to come, so I'd say it's a hobby which invests in yourself.

All the best!

Hi hi, personally i spend about 200 - 300 - a month abt 15 % of my take home salary on leisure activities, a rough breakdown would be:
60 for class pass with occasional top up for credits +25
~ 40 for movies / one-off activities (e.g. tickets for attractions, art jamming, etc)
~ 75 - 150 for courses (e.g. craft workshops - candle making, baking class, pottery)

I think even within for the same category of recreation event, prices can vary.

Say running,
Free - for runs at PCN or around the neighbourhood
Cheaper rates at active sg gyms w credits
$90 for paid membership at gyms

For crafts,
<$10 paint by number diy for frameless kits (paint + canvas)
~20/30 for off peak art jamming sessions
or Even $100 for guided oil painting sessions.

Anyways, there can be multiple ways of pursuing similar hobbies, so my take is so long as it brings u joy and u know that in the long run this is something that you will be keeping to (e.g. not impulse purchases for under-utilised credits / expired pre-paid sessions) n the cost is manageable, it's probably money well spent to enjoy life (:

Life's short, there may be some tricks and tips to cut cost on hobbies (e.g. opting for diy version or looking for promo activities - fave) but i think I believe money is also to be used as a means to buy happiness, don't be too harsh on your spending ... but ya dont break the bank for it too.

I feel like so long as you understand your financial commitments and know how to budget accordingly,...
