Hi anon,

Proof of identity is always required when getting any plan.

Typically one valid proof is enough. However, if you are doing it remotely, two proofs may be required (e.g. Passport + IC)

The next thing to consider is the verification of proof. You typically have to present your actual IC if you are doing the paperwork face to face. Alternatively, some insurers use Singpass to authenticate you and thus no physical proof is needed.

Hi there,

It depends on the system. If the retrieval of your information is via Singpass, its unlikely that you'll need to dish our your IC as a secondary proof of identification.
