When making a trade, I consider several factors to ensure that it aligns with my investment strategy and has the potential for long-term success. Here are the key factors I consider:
Fundamental analysis
Definitely the most important on the list! This involves assessing its financial health, evaluating its competitive position within the industry, analyzing its growth prospects, and understanding its management team. By focusing on fundamentals, I aim to identify companies with a strong foundation and sustainable growth potential.
Diversification
We know the age old advice to not keep your eggs in one basket and it definitely applies here. Diversification is crucial to mitigate risk, so I ensure that it adds diversification benefits to my portfolio.
Risk assessment
I evaluate the risk-reward profile of the trade. This involves considering factors like the volatility of the asset, potential downside risks, and the overall risk exposure of my portfolio. I aim to strike a balance between potential returns and the level of risk I'm willing to undertake.
By considering these factors, It allows me to approach trading with a disciplined and well-thought-out approach!
