Under what circumstance does one need not go through clinic that does not e-filing or medishield logo?

Assuming one has brought a hospitalization plan. How can the insurer be convinced to let us claim?

I'm assuming you are referring to an Integrated Shield Plan. The "hospitalization plan" that you pruchased from one of the Integrated Shield providers is not a plan by itself. It has to co-exist with MediShield Life, each plan pays out a certain amount of benefit. E-Filing is compulsory for MediShield Life, therefore, you can only claim from your insurer if the clinic submits an e-file application.

However, if you have any other private insurance, such as those provided by Cigna, e-filing will not be required. The insurer will definitely pay if all conditions are met: no underdeclaration, condition is not an undeclared pre-existing condition, you have met the waiting period for the condition, etc.
