Too many Credit Cards 😭

Personally for me, I can't remember which card is best to use in which scenario, and it becomes too much of a hassle for me to maintain all the cards and remember to pay all the bills every month

I narrowed it down to about 3 CCs, one visa, one master, one amex and each one from a different bank haha

That being said, if you can get the welcome bonus and benefit from that, you can always cancel the card after and still keep the bonus!

Good:

• optimise your rewards for spending on each category
• multiple sign up bonuses
• multiple card perks to be enjoyed (is HSBC for Entertainer, AMEX for AMEX offers, etc)

Bad:

• can be stressful to pay off all bills on time
• if spending on each card is too low, banks may not want to waive your annual fee
• Orphan points if you end up cancelling your card before redeeming your points, or if you don't accumulate enough points to cash out before they expire

Personally, I have 4 cards now even though my monthly spending isn't very high. But I think I spread out my spending among my cards well enough that I'll be able to get my fees waived - we shall see over the next few months when the annual fees are due!
