Most Tiger Brokers posts are written for complete beginners. This one is for the people who already know what a brokerage is, have probably traded somewhere before, and are now asking whether it is worth switching to — or adding — Tiger Brokers in 2026, and what the sign up code actually gets you when you finally decide to act.
Sign up code: CG149G
Enter it at the point of account registration on Tiger Trade. Verified active as at September 2026.

The part most posts skip: both sides earn
Tiger Brokers' invite-a-friend structure is genuinely two-sided. When someone signs up using your referral code or link, both the new user and the person who shared the code receive the invite bonus — provided the new user meets the deposit conditions.
That makes the code worth sharing, not just claiming.
For the new user who signs up with CG149G:
These are stacked on top of Tiger Brokers' standard welcome rewards (up to S$1,000 based on deposit tier), which run simultaneously and are separate from the invite bonus.
The invite bonus pays as daily trading vouchers, not a lump sum. The clock starts from the day your qualifying deposit lands, and the vouchers credit automatically — you do not need to trigger them. Just keep your balance at the qualifying level for 30 consecutive days.
Why September 2026 is a particularly good time to open an account
Tiger Brokers' welcome offer is valid until 30 September 2026 — which means you are at the last window to capture the full stacking promotion in its current form. There is no guarantee the same structure continues into Q4 2026 unchanged.
On top of the welcome reward and invite bonus, Tiger is running four additional concurrent promotions this month:
None of these require you to be a new user — but the welcome reward and invite bonus are new-account only, and they do not last indefinitely.
A closer look at Tiger Trade — what the platform actually gives you
Tiger Trade is the app and desktop platform that Tiger Brokers Singapore runs on. It is available on iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS. If you are evaluating whether to switch, here is what you are actually getting access to:

The switching broker case — is Tiger worth moving to?
If you are currently with a traditional bank broker (DBS Vickers, POEMS, OCBC Securities, UOB Kay Hian), the fee difference is significant enough that it is worth running the numbers.
Traditional bank brokers typically charge 0.18–0.28% for SGX trades, with minimums of S$10–25 per order. Tiger Brokers charges 0.06% all-in (minimum S$1.99). On a S$10,000 SGX trade, that is roughly S$18–28 at a traditional broker versus S$6 at Tiger.
The trade-off is that SGX shares bought through Tiger sit in custodian mode — Tiger's nominee pool — rather than your personal CDP account. If you specifically want SGX shares in your own CDP name, you need a CDP-linked broker. Tiger's Cash Boost account does allow you to sell your existing CDP-held shares through Tiger, but does not currently allow buying into CDP directly.
If you are currently with moomoo and wondering whether Tiger adds anything, the honest answer depends on your investing pattern:
How to claim the sign up code bonus: the exact sequence
Getting this sequence right is the difference between collecting several hundred dollars in rewards and getting nothing.
Instant Rewards (commission cards) credit once your deposit tier is confirmed within 30 days. Retention Rewards (stock cash coupons) credit after 60 consecutive days at the qualifying balance. Daily invite-bonus vouchers (USD 4/day at the top tier) credit automatically throughout the 30-day window.
What each reward type actually is — and how to use it
Not all Tiger Brokers rewards are the same format, and it is worth knowing what lands in your account.
Trading vouchers (invite bonus): Credit as daily vouchers for 30 days. Used to offset trading commissions on eligible trades through Tiger Trade. Not withdrawable as cash.
Instant Rewards — US Commission Card: A commission credit for US stock and ETF trades. Applied automatically against eligible trade commissions.
Retention Rewards — Stock Cash Coupons: Credited after the 60-day holding period. Can be used to purchase fractional shares or eligible stocks within Tiger Trade, subject to the coupon's specific terms.
The key insight: if you plan to be an active investor in the first 30–60 days after opening, the trading vouchers and commission cards go further than they look. USD 120 in vouchers at USD 0.01 per share covers 12,000 shares' worth of US commission. At even moderate trading frequency, you will use them before they expire.
The sign up code FAQs no one else answers clearly
Can I use the sign up code if I've had a Tiger Brokers account before?
No. The welcome reward and invite bonus are for first-time Tiger Brokers Singapore accounts only. This is checked against your NRIC, SingPass, and registered mobile number.
What if I enter the code after completing registration?
The code must be entered during registration — before you tap through the final confirmation screen. If you missed it, contact Tiger support via in-app chat or WhatsApp (+65 6331 2277) immediately, before depositing. There is no guarantee they can apply it retroactively, and it is impossible once you have funded.
Can I share my own referral code with friends once I have an account?
Yes. Once your Tiger Brokers account is active, you can generate your own invite link and code within the app under the Referrals section. When a friend signs up using your link or code and meets the deposit conditions, both of you earn the invite bonus.
Does the welcome offer automatically stack with the invite bonus, or do I need to activate both?
They run simultaneously once you have signed up with the code and met the deposit conditions. You do not need to activate them separately — both are triggered by the sign-up and deposit actions.
_What is the deadline?_The current welcome offer is valid until 30 September 2026. Always verify the latest terms at Tiger Brokers' official promotions page (itiger.com/sg/market/promotion) before depositing, as Tiger may adjust conditions at any time.
The actual numbers: what you collect at each deposit level
Depositing S$3,000 (clears both the USD 1,000 invite-bonus tier and the S$3,000 welcome reward tier):
Depositing S$10,000:
Depositing S$100,000 or more:
These figures use an approximate SGD/USD rate. The USD 120 is paid in trading vouchers, not cash — but for anyone who plans to trade, the practical value is equivalent.
