Depends what your goal is. It sounds good for short term funds that you will need in a year or 2 and it’s not good for you to invest into something more long term like stocks. Also, the other alternative is for it to just sit in the bank, this gives a higher return than most fixed deposits.
However, if you are putting in cash that you do not need anytime soon, that could potentially be a poor investment. These “risk-free” investments like bonds rarely or even never Beats inflation. It is almost a guaranteed lost of money accounting for inflation.
Ultimately, it’s good for some spare cash that you will need in the shorter term and can’t use it to invest into something more Long term.
