Thoughts on installing solar panels and EV charging in Singapore?

Seen a lot of government initiatives towards pushing solar in Singapore, and also the recent $750 charges to first time EV charging in SG. Just wondering why it's so popular of late, and if it's worth trying?

Hmm I think the govt push towards solar energy is part of a broader global trend towards renewable energy adoption to mitigate climate change and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
