Appreciate some opinions on the new AIA Ultimate Critical Care plan, which has features like resetting coverage amount after a year, unlimited claims* etc. Are these nice-to-have features with low probability of needing to use them? I don't have any close family members or relatives who have CI so first hand experience will be really helpful. Thank you.

FYI I have Aviva Multipay III until 65 and am considering to get this until 75 to cover the gap in terms of length of coverage.

The AIA Ultimate Critical Cover (UCC) plan comes with some pretty interesting features, like unlimited claims for major critical illnesses and a coverage reset after 12 months, so your coverage amount goes back to 100% even after a claim. It also covers 150 conditions across early, intermediate, and major stages, giving you pretty broad protection.
Since you already have Aviva MyMultiPay Critical Illness Plan III until age 65, getting this could help bridge the gap until 75. The UCC Enhancer Rider is also an option if you want extra protection for relapses and severe conditions.
Now, are these "nice-to-have" features? It really depends. Since you donโt have a family history of CI, you might feel like the chances of needing multiple claims are lower. But critical illnesses can happen unexpectedly, so having strong, long-term coverage could give you peace of mind.
That said, plans with extensive benefits usually come with higher premiums, so it's worth weighing the cost against the coverage. If you're unsure, it might be good to chat with an advisor to see if it truly fits your needs and budget. Hope this helps! ๐
