Not necessary. I recently canceled my policy, and the FA did not ask any question and peoceed to cancel the policy for me. Swift and easy.

Go through your current FA, but be prepared to do it yourself if FA pulls stunt to delay to protect their own vested interest.
I know because that happened to me, and I DIY-ed.
