Hi anon,
If you are looking at term plans (pure death/TPD), it is hard to say which plan is the best for you, since this depends on how long you wish to cover for.
Having said that, term plans are easy to compare, the cheapest usually is what you should consider.
Notable plans in terms of cost/coverage would typically from Manulife, Aviva, China Taiping, TokioMarine, at least amongst the companies that I can distribute. Again, I stress that this is highly dependent on your needs and duration of coverage. Speak to an advisor for more tailored advice.

Hi anon, some companies do provide a large sum perpetual discount on the premiums for term insurance policies (Eg. $1mil and above). They may also have an embedded convertible option that allows you to convert the policy into eg. Whole life / universal life policy along the way.
Bear in mind also that if you do go with the AVIVA group term, albeit cheap, the policy cannot be nominated to your beneficiaries that you would like to receive the payout in whatever %.
