Technology counters are in vogue now. I am thinking of buying Tencent because of the recent pullback. Any thoughts on this?

I think before buying any stock at all , one has to do their due deligence in researching before buying any stock at all.

1) How do they make money?

2) How does their growth rate look like?

3) What is the management's plan?

4) Competitor analysis - Choose the company with the competitive advantage.

5) Determine the fair value of company ( by various valuation methods)

You would always want to buy a stock below its fair valuation of the company!

I might be doing an in depth analysis of this stock as Tencent is on my watchlist! Best is to research before buying anything at all. People thought's can be wrong and they can give you opinions out of thin air.
