TD Ameritrade or Firstrade fees?

I tried using TD Ameritrade virtual trading papermoney. But I dont understand one portion whereby they charge a 3.95 usd commission per transaction but on their website they claim to be Commission Free??
I reach out to the customer agent but the auto reply state commission is 10.65 usd.

Anyone can clarify this??

And does Firstrade also have this kind of hidden charges as I am considering to use either one of the platform for us trading.

I just opened an account with td ameritrade.

Some of my viewers reached out to me complaining that their customer service is slow but only until recently since they launched the zero commission fee promo.

Thinkorswim platform looks very user friendly! It all boils down to commission in my opinion.
