Suggestions for yield/interest generation on idle USD cash balances (>50k). Is IBKR SG cash interest any good (although not SIPC protected) or any other recommendations/thoughts? Thanks!

Cashed out of US equities for now, so looking for short term yield opportunities on the idle cash.

Like some other comments suggested, money market funds are the way to go. Fullerton SGD and USD cash are paying decent interest rates at the moment! Try out Webull, Moomoo. They are brokers that offer these services.

Hi all, now that ibkr has set up office in sg, decided to open an account with them. But have some questions regarding their margin account. What happens if my cash balance falls below that amount?

Does ibkr have an account minimum balance? i've a ibkr pro cash account and mainly deposit funds, then buy the stocks i want that night and usually my account cash fund balance is near zero afterwards. Any advice?

Is IBKR still recommended over FSMOne or SCB for new investors since IBKR SG is not SIPC covered unlike IBKR LLC?
