Study finds that majority of reported bitcoin trading volumes is a hoax. Just curious whats stopping institutional traders from doing the same thing on a stock?

If they could do this they could more easily raise public awareness about a value stock they have a position in.

Stocks on exchanges are regulated and are bound by rules set by MAS.
