Standard Chartered SMART Credit Card Nerf

Recently, I noticed that SCB just updated their terms and conditions for their SMART credit card wef 6 Dec.

Previously, the card offered 6% cashback on selected merchants, including transport, fast food and several streaming subscription like Netflix and Disney+, without any minimum spending required.

However, the new cashback system is tiered based on the card spending per month. It starts at 3.5% (eligible merchants) + 0.5% (base cashback) with no minimum spending, 7.5% (eligible merchants) + 0.5% (base cashback) if you spend $800 and above, and 9% (eligible merchants) + 1% (base interest) if you spend at least $1.5k.

In addition, they will start charging annual fees for the card as well (1st year is waived)

Based on the nature of the eligible merchants ( Transport, Fast Food and Streaming), I don't see myself spending more than $800 with the card.

Hence, I am thinking to cancel my credit card. Is there a better card I can use for transport? Will probably use HSBC Live+ for dining.
