SRS account is it a need

Seeing alot people opening their account before 1st July because of the retirement age changing to 63 however do we really need SRS account n does 1 year gap make a difference. What are your view on this

I guess the earlier the better. it gives more flexibility esp if you can't tell whats gonna happen when you are 62/63

1 yr is not much diff, but it doesnt take too much effort to open 1 and have the flexibility to take out at 62 so might as well?
