Expense has drop in terms of transport, half a tank of petrol lasted for more than a month. Extra income from hitch has dropped since that is no longer allowed.

My overall expenditure has definetly drop quite a bit, about 35%!

I do not order in any delivery and only rely on either cooking or getting take outs occassionally, so that has really help me reduce my expenses by quite a bit.

However, my side income has been affected as I am no longer able to head to work on weekends even though I work in an industry that belongs to the essential services. But due to the guidelines set by the governing council, I am unable to perform procedures that I usually do. But on the brighter side, I still have my 9-6 job that pays me!

Hi Kenneth,

Interesting question, I hadn't actually been analyzing my expenses too closely although I have the numbers. I've been either cooking dinner or just buying hawker food. So food expenses are pretty much still the same. But since I haven't been going out as much, discretionary expenses have reduced somewhat (lesser bubble tea, for example). I probably spend less than $10 a day on average. Utilities have not gone up much either, I don't have an air con at home, so I just use the fan.

Then against, as my income is variable, I can't say I am saving less or more, to me it's a matter of spending on necessities, and the rest goes to investment/war chest since I have enough in my emergency fund for now. I guess it's a case of business as usual when it comes to my cashflow, but this was honed over the past 10+ years.

Actually i seems to be spending more on food.

buying a lot more groceries now and eating at home, its actually more expensive than the usualy eating at hawker or coffee shops (i do hope i am at least eating healthier)

and electricity.. lots of airconditioning at home now.
