Signed Up for MariBank's Card Bundle using [8ZUU96EA] — Here's What I Actually Got

A friend sent me a MariBank code a couple weeks back and I finally got around to using it for the Credit Card Bundle. Figured I'd write up what actually happened rather than just repeat the marketing copy.

I downloaded the app, applied for the Mari Credit Card Bundle (savings account + credit card together, applied as one thing — apparently applying separately doesn't count), and entered the code 8ZUU96EA in the promo field before submitting.

A few days after approval, S$20 landed in the new savings account. Nice, straightforward.

Then there's a second layer I almost missed: the card itself has its own welcome rewards, up to S$80, separate from the S$20. To get the S$30 cashback chunk of that, I had to hit S$300 in card spend within 30 days of the card being approved — and Shopee Instant Checkout doesn't count toward that S$300 (it feeds into a different S$50 Shopee voucher pack instead, which I only found out after almost using Shopee for most of my spend).

Things I'd tell someone doing this for the first time:

  • Apply for the bundle as one application, not two.
  • Enter the code before you submit — no fixing it after.
  • Track your S$300 spend somewhere, and don't lean on Shopee Instant Checkout for it.
  • Whole thing needs to be approved within the 1–31 July 2026 window.

I read through the fuller guide on DLCuration before applying, which helped catch the Shopee exclusion before it cost me the cashback: https://dlcuration.com/maribank-referral-code.html

Not financial advice, just documenting what actually happened.
