Bought DBS shares last year at about $19 1 lot. FA that I consulted suggested that I sell all for profit and buy back at a lower price.
Would selling to lock in the profit be better than averaging up?

One consideration is do you think DBS has more room to increase? Or is there another stock with more growth potential where you can put the money in.

I personally sold my DBS stocks for a profit and then channelled it to the US market.

What is your valuation for DBS

A simple rule of thumb is price to book value so if it is selling above book, consider selling
If it is below book, consider buying
To be fair, if u sell now, u may not get a chance to buy back at a lower price
Having said that, Singapore is a mean reverting market unless USA
