So i’ve been working my first job in public healthcare setting for about less than a year, and I realized that the job has a job scope and workplace culture that I don’t fit in with. I feel underworked, bullied, actually dread getting out of bed and go home really miserable / sometimes cry everyday.
Should I just resign altogether even though it is my first job? Would this be a red flag for future employers? How long should I hang on for even if my own sanity is affected?

As other commentators have advised, do not leave a job without finding another job. This is what an ex-friend told me too, because if you do, then you will not have the "market value".
I have been in toxic work environments before, and I stayed on for 1-3 years to get the experience I require before I jump ship. The longest I stayed was close to 3 years (the money's really good), and that almost broke me until I shared with a friend who's a counsellor and my faith & time also healed me. However, it doesn't mean you should, since I think we all sense that you are breaking down.
The time I didn't have a job first before I leave was in my first job. And I quickly found one in 1 month. A friend of mine (a fresh IT grad) recently was unlawfully asked to resign (1st job) and she found another job in about 3 weeks. FYI, she is the sole breadwinner of the family.
Know your value, take a stand and do not be afraid of quitting, if push comes to shove. Your mental health is more important. Take care!

If you don't have to worry about your expenses, highly recommend you to leave asap. If not, try to find a job before leaving. Could position your reason for leaving to future employers that there was little growth, mismatch, etc.

Bullied. That's a HUGE red flag for me. I'd say consider escalating it within the organisation if that's available, and if not, just leave.

There's nothing wrong in leaving a job you're miserable in and where you're not growing. It won't be a red flag if you know how to present it in your CV.
