and buy early, so that in case it does not match ur expectation, you have time to tailor and make it fit.

Oh yes! My sister in law actually bought most of her dress and wedding preparation stuffs from taobao. The quality not bad and worth the price! The way to do it is to buy from those with lots of good reviews only. So far all good!

Hey there! Taobao is really a good place to look, some are really good with good quality! But you need to do your homework - read through the reviews, ask the seller to send you some pictures etc. Do note that probably you have to alter yourself as well. The risk is what you receive is not what you thought it was (common for Taobao). But it's hit and miss actually.

I have a friend who bought her wedding dress from taobao.

1. firstly she is not poor, just savvy

2. 2ndly once you get the details right the taobao, and ship it here, u still need a local tailor to make it suits u even better. a bit more money but overall still cheaper

3. she ordered 3 different gowns just so that she has backup (u can order less)

4. and yes she looks great on her wedding day (and night)

Some wedding vendors are shuddering at the thought of taobao competition.
