Should I buy few units on many stocks/ETFs, or buy many units on few stocks/ETFs?

Do both in moderation. If you buy too few units of too many counters for example, then you will be spreading your eggs to thinly and returns will be limited. Reverse is true. If you put all your eggs in one basket, you take on additional risk compared to more diversification.
