Should I be applying for HLE before confirming the number?

I just applied for my BTO and awaiting the ballot number in 3 weeks time. Is it okay to apply the HLE now so tht I don't have to rush?

Yes, we do recommend doing that. HDB requires all potential flat buyers who wish to get an HDB loan to first obtain an HLE letter before committing to a flat purchase.

Since you're applying for a BTO, you'll need to produce the HLE letter at the point of flat selection.

Applicants without a valid HLE letter when booking a flat will not be eligible to apply for an HDB loan in the future.
