Should a beginner invest in individual REITS or REIT ETFs?

Combination of both.

Individual reits i would preferred large cap and their propertites mostly in SG.

If you invest, in just reit ETF, u just get dividend 4 times a years. If you invest in individual reit u will recieve more than four time, "staggered". Some "ok" reit have higher dividend yield than the etfs.

The answer is almost same as whether should one invest in individual stocks or an index ETF. depends whether you have the time and energy to study individual stocks/RETIS, understand the economy, understand the management etc etc.

if you go with ETF, are you willing to give up potentially higher gains to be diversified, and pay the ETF manager a fee to manage the ETF?​​​
