I am using an expense track app: CashJot https://www.cashjot.com/ for tracking daily expenses, spending on overseas trips and big ticket items. I put them in different expense groups so I can easily tell what's going on if spending for a particular month is higher than normal.

My favourite part is how quick and easy it is to log an expense, something I need to do several times a day. Also how easy it is to see whether I'm on track to meet my monthly/trip budget - it shows how much I'm over or under each day.

The app is only available on iOS though.

Disclosure: I created the app. Budgets & recurring expenses are paid features but there's a free trial to get started. Can let me know any feedback if you happen to check it out!

I use an app called Monny. Paid one-time $4 for premium usage. It's very simple and I just got used to it. Can create categories for expenses and income, can customise monthly financial cycle and export the monthly reprot to excel, can see your spending in pie chart percentage.

I saved monthly excels and then compute an annual excel to have the big picture on Google.
