1. For some countries like indonesia, the local indonesians pay around 60 dollars for a round trip to Singapore on scoot while Singaporeans pay 160 dollars. Ask your local friend to book flight for you.
2. A frequent traveller can buy the TPG simba super roam for $25 which gives you 80 GB of local data and 10GB of data roaming. While their service is subpar, I dont think there is a cheaper all in one deal.
3. Many recommend the youtrip card Which is great. i personally use Hugosave, which while they do not aggresively promote for travel use, actually has no exchange rate fees for overseas spend just like Youtrip, they have additional features for saving in gold. https://tinyurl.com/y8putwdr
4. Bring lots of probiotic supplements, and you'll never have stomach issues again. I personally use Duolac.
5. No need to bring your IC. Instead put a scanned copy of your passport folded nicely in your wallet. In any emergency, it's way more useful.

Here are my travel tips and hacks :
#1 Email yourself a scan of your passport,carrying a hardcopy of your passport is important, but forgetfulness or theft and loss can always hit you at the wrong time. By emailing yourself a scan of your passport, you ensure that in case of an unfortunate event, your passport is only a click away. This also goes for any other type of journey confirmations (tickets, etc.), either scan or screenshot the same and save yourself a buttload of trouble in the future.
#2 Roll your clothes for more space,packing smart does not take too much effort. One of the easiest and most effective travel hacks related to packing is to roll your clothes rather than fold. Not only does this method save you a lot of space, it also keeps your clothes wrinkle-free. Plus, little rolled tubes means you can easily see what you have packed.
#3 If you’re jetlagged, run it off,jet lag can be a real killjoy but there is a way to combat its depressing effects - exercise!
#4 Put your rechargeable batteries in the fridge.
Well, there is a pretty cool travel hack to help keep your batteries fresher and full of charge for longer - just stash them in the fridge! As strange as it may sound, most rechargeable batteries retain 90% of their full charge when kept in cold temperatures.

Here are my don't be a noob travel tips & hacks:

1. Use Youtrip Card - is like having the Arcade@Raffles in your card. Sometimes better than Raffles, Bedok and some say JB.
2. Do your passport - only losers do your passport last min and queue at ICA for 8 hours.
3. Check need PCR or ART. Can save at least $50 if the country has a new update on its travelling restrictions, unless you got a sugardaddy to pay for you.
4. Go buy a SIM Card first on klook and send to your house or pick up at the airport before your trip even began. Noobs only queue and wait for 20 - 30 mins to get their SIM card.
5. For those people going Bangkok/Korea/Japan, if u wan to shop till you drop, make sure your luggage don't get drop first.

• Vacuum pack your stuff and buy extra luggage before you board. Don't be those tourist that open their luggage at the airport and start to throw away stuff and rearrange their luggage like a noob.
