Ryde SG - good or bad? Anyone used before?
Over the CNY period, I stumbled upon a "new" (I say new but actually I think it's been around for a while, just not very popular) ride hailing company called Ryde. I tried taking a few trips because they seemed a bit cheaper compared to Grab and Gojek as their surge prices were crazy. I thought that it was quite seemless and was wondering why they are not more popular. Anyone been using Ryde for a while? What are your thoughts? I saw that the even have some subscription service that gives cash back on rides, similar to Grab's old subscription I think? Seems like can save quite a bit of money here if you take rides often...

I tried to book a taxi via the ryde app today and it was not the best experience. The default payment was cash but when i clicked on book, a dialogue box indicated that cash option has been disabled and that i needed to pay with rydepay. So I topped up the amount required but was still unable to book a ride. I contacted customer service to request for a refund as I was frustrated at having wasted my time fiddling with the app and still not able to book a ride and was late for work. I was told that it is not their policy to refund rydepay amounts! This is frustrating as I'm not able to book a ride and now my money is stuck🤦🏻♀️
