I went to Europe (Netherlands) for my university exchange recently, I used both Wise and Revolut.
โ
For day to day spending, I used Revolut cause their cards are accepted internationally and everyone has Revolut, so transfers between other students are very convenient.
โ
For Wise, I mainly use it to transfer to my Dutch bank account/ or to make Europe bank transfer. Etc to pay for rent or school-related expenses. Somethings such as the Netherlands and German train subscription only allow for bank transfers too. So you need a IBAN account.
โ
Try to open, and set up both account. Then register for the card.
โ
You can use my Wise referral code for a fee-free international transfer of up to $900. You can save over ($20 or more from the transfer). There is also a free card!
