Reapply for credit card within the same year of closing?

Hi, i opened a credit card and cashline card few years back and due to my negligence, closed my credit card but now wishes to apply for another credit card. I was told the credit closure affects my credit score so is it possible to reapply another card from the same bank within the same year?

Yes, your credit score is affected, but that shouldn't stop you from reapplying. Just be certain that you are applying for something you will use so that your score will not get affected again.
