[Rate My Portfolio] Advice for improvement to portfolio. All my positions are quite new (~2 weeks old).

50% Stocks

  • Apple (AAPL) 8%
  • AMD 14%
  • Microsoft (MSFT) 3%
  • Nvidia (NVDA) 5%
  • SEA LTD (SE) 11%
  • Tesla (TSLA) 9%

10% Cryptocurrency

  • Ethereum (ETH) 8%
  • Chainlink (LINK) 2%

40% Cash

โ€‹

Currently red on SE, AAPL and MSFT as most of my positions are new, and would be looking to average down on these depending on market conditions. I may want to diversify out of tech and buy stocks such as Disney (DIS). Not aiming to pump more cash into crypto as it reached my current risk tolerance. Looking out for suggestions and feedback to further improve this portfolio.

I would buy overall world ETFs or broad based SNP500 (VOO) etc on your cash component to reduce it to around 20% cash if you don't need the cash on hand.

I like the exposure to crypto as you are still on the younger side, and there's so much more to be done there. Would add BTC to that portoflio to ensure you don't miss out on the idea of holding on to digital gold. Beyond programmable money (ETH) and Strong oracles in LINK. I would consider DPI as well (Defi pulse index) which tracks the top 10 DeFi projects in market today.

IMO thats too much cash on hand unless you are including your emergency funds

We all have subjective views, as we saw.

after having emergency funds constantly at hand I would switch:

โ€‹

0% cash

โ€‹

0% crypto (for me crypto still means gambling)

โ€‹

90% passive stock ETFs

โ€‹

10% physical gold

โ€‹

everything longterm buy & hold

asking for opinions only after 2 weeks of creating that portfolio reveals quite an undecidedness ? take care that you do not trade/switch too often, which is exactly why many retail investors underperform, besides buying higher fee products.
