Question on parent relief income tax?

Hi all, i have a question about parent relief.

I included my dad for my parent relief but I not sure whether am I qualified or not? As much as I read the requirements. I key his IC into the system and it shows parent relief but I not sure whether the system is smart enough to identify whether the IC that i key in is it qualify for the relief or not?

What will happen if I am not qualified?
Thanks!

The critieria for parents relief is as follows (source: https://www.iras.gov.sg/irashome/Individuals/Lo...)

1) Dependent is living in your household in the year of assessment

2) If not living in the same household, you have incurred $2k or more supporting him in the year of assessment

3) Dependent is 55 yrs old or above in the year of assessment

4) Dependent did not have annual income exceeding 4k in year of assessment

And if the dependent is physically or mentally disabled, it will be under handicapped parent relief, not parent relief.

The system will be smart enough to verify pt 3 and 4, once you keyed in the IC. Thereafter you don't have to key in every year unless there are changes. I believe the system will check the IC for address, if they decided to spot check on you.

I believe if pt 3 and 4 is not hit, you'll not qualify. If there are more specify queries, you can email or call IRAS up. They are pretty efficient and responsive.
