You can read about digital banks like Trust Bank here :)

Pros :

  1. Fully Digital, like your MNVO or Mobile Network Virtual Operator type of things with mobile lines, bank operations can be done on the fly with your mobile phone
  2. Transactions are almost instantaneous for Trust Bank (probably tapping on Standard Chartered banking network, they are in the form of partnership services)
  3. Daily savings for grocery shopping at Fairprice supermarkets (Fairprice, Fairprice Xtra, Cheers and Fairprice Finest, Fairprice Online), thanks to the LinkPoints scheme (formerly OCBC-NTUC Link! Scheme)
  4. Overseas spending FX rate is quite okay for the rates (but floating rates at point of transaction taking place, do take note, personal experience in Kuala Lumpur)
  5. Online assistance at a touch of app function button

Cons

  1. No real bank counter staff to serve you (human interaction in traditional face-to-face mode)
  2. Min. Spending of $200 (Debit card) or $450 (Credit card) before any additional LinkPoints can be earned, with monthly and quarterly requirements included as well.
  3. The savings in LinkPoints is average at best, but still convenient for use at next purchase via Fairprice Group services.
  4. Trust Bank Savings account max interest rate capped at 1.4% (promotional rate as of now), more similar to the likes of CIMB StarSaver / FastSaver, Singapura Finance VIVID, SingLife eBanking accounts
  5. Trust Bank is still relatively new, so it takes time to iron out certain processes and procedures

Hope these information helps !
