Planning to RSP into S&P 500 VOO but I don't understand how to determine the minimum amount to enter with, given the fee structure. Any advice?

Looking at FSMone fees,

I understand theres a sales charge of 0.08% for both sell and buy ETF, minimum of USD 1 to buy and USD 8.80 to sell.

There is a dividend handling fee 1% of gross dividend subject to min USD 2.50, max USD 25.

How should I determine the amount to RSP in?

The price of one VOO share is about 290+ USD.
I think the FSMOne RSP allows for fractional shares.

So you would want to minimise the cost of buying the ETF every month. Which is 1 USD min or 0.08% of the amount. Which is USD 1250. Anything lesser you still pay 1 USD. (Correct me if I am wrong, having issues with Mathematics). Also have to factor other exchange fees.

Then you have to consider the foreign exchange rate and costs to convert SGD to USD. Roughly that is the figure in SGD for the RSP.

As the dividend is dependent on the number of shares you have, you might have to be prepared to factor the minimum dividend fee as a cost to hold the position.

Alternatively, invest whatever amount that you are comfortable with monthly and work to increase it over time.
